2. Course Cancellation and Refund Timeline
Refund eligibility is determined by when you submit your cancellation request relative to the course start date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected].

Important: The course start date is defined as the date of the first scheduled session. For online courses, this is when course materials become accessible.
3. Personal Consultations
3.1 One-Time Consultations
- More than 48 hours before appointment: Full refund or free rescheduling
- 24-48 hours before appointment: 50% refund or free rescheduling
- Less than 24 hours or no-show: No refund, rescheduling subject to £50 fee
3.2 Consultation Packages
For pre-purchased consultation packages:
- Unused sessions may be refunded at 75% of their pro-rata value within 30 days of purchase
- After 30 days, no refunds are available, but sessions may be transferred to another person
- Packages expire 6 months from purchase date
4. Online Courses and Digital Content
4.1 Pre-Recorded Online Courses
For self-paced online courses with immediate access to materials:
- Within 7 days of purchase AND less than 20% content accessed: Full refund (minus administrative fee)
- After 7 days OR more than 20% content accessed: No refund available
4.2 Live Online Courses
Live online courses follow the same refund timeline as in-person courses (see Section 2).
4.3 Downloadable Materials
Once digital materials have been downloaded, they are non-refundable due to the nature of digital goods.
5. Group Workshops and Seminars
For one-day workshops and seminars:
- 7+ days before event: Full refund (minus £25 administrative fee)
- 3-6 days before event: 50% refund or credit toward future event
- Less than 3 days before or no-show: No refund
Early bird discounts are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee with prior approval.
6. Course Transfers and Substitutions
6.1 Transferring to Future Course
If you cannot attend your enrolled course, you may transfer to a future session of the same course:
- First transfer: Free (must be requested at least 7 days before course start)
- Second transfer: £50 transfer fee
- Third transfer: Not available; cancellation policy applies
Transfers are subject to availability and must be used within 12 months of original enrollment.
6.2 Substituting Attendee
You may substitute another person to attend in your place:
- No fee if notified at least 3 days before course start
- £25 administrative fee if notified less than 3 days before
- Substitute must meet course prerequisites
- Original purchaser remains responsible for payment
7. Course Cancellation by Speaking Mastery School
In the rare event that we must cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other unforeseen circumstances:
- We will notify you as soon as possible (typically at least 7 days before start date)
- You will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including any administrative fees
- Alternatively, you may choose to transfer to another available course
- We are not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred (travel, accommodation, etc.)
8. Medical and Emergency Circumstances
We understand that unexpected medical emergencies or serious personal circumstances may prevent you from attending a course. In such cases:
- You must provide documentation (medical certificate, legal documents, etc.)
- Request must be submitted within 7 days of the occurrence
- We will work with you to find a suitable solution, which may include:
- Full refund (minus administrative fees)
- Free transfer to future course
- Extended credit valid for 18 months
Each case is evaluated individually at our discretion.
9. Dissatisfaction with Course Quality
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unsatisfied with a course:
- Contact us immediately during or within 7 days after the course
- Provide specific feedback about the issues encountered
- We will investigate the matter and may offer:
- Additional support or materials
- Partial or full refund
- Credit toward another course
- Free repeat of the same course
Refunds for quality concerns are provided at our sole discretion after investigation. Claims submitted more than 14 days after course completion will not be considered.
10. Payment Plan and Installment Refunds
If you are on a payment plan:
- Refunds are calculated based on payments made to date minus applicable fees
- You must complete all scheduled payments before receiving a refund
- Cancellation does not cancel remaining payment obligations unless you are within the full refund period
- Early payment plan cancellations may incur additional administrative fees
11. Promotional Offers and Discounts
- Courses purchased with promotional discounts or special offers are subject to the same refund policy
- Refunds are calculated based on the actual amount paid, not the original price
- Special promotion bundles may have specific refund terms disclosed at the time of purchase
- Gift certificates and promotional vouchers are non-refundable

For corporate training and group bookings (3+ participants):
- Custom refund terms may be negotiated and specified in the service agreement

15. Credit Notes and Store Credit
In lieu of a refund, we may offer credit notes or store credit:
- Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date
- Can be used toward any of our services
- Non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
- Cannot be combined with certain promotional offers
- Unused credits expire and cannot be refunded
16. Disputes and Appeals
If you disagree with a refund decision:
